What this site is

This site explains carrier screening and lets you order a carrier screening test. It is published by Elucia, an Australian carrier screening service.

This site is not clinical advice

Everything here is general information. It is not advice about your situation, and it does not replace a consultation. Questions about whether screening is right for you, or about a result, belong in the telehealth consultation that comes with every test. If you are pregnant now and need advice sooner, speak to your GP or midwife.

Accuracy

We source the claims on this site and cite them in the footer. Clinical guidance changes, and where a figure comes from a study we say which one, so you can check it. If you think something here is wrong, tell us through the contact form and we will correct it.

Your information

What we collect through this site, and what we do with it, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We update this page when the site changes. The version published here is the one that applies.

Early access voucher offer

Join the Elucia early access list and we’ll email you a voucher code: $100 off Expanded Couple carrier screening ($1,350) or $50 off Expanded Single carrier screening ($699). Vouchers are limited, offered while they last, and the offer may end at any time. Each person can receive one single-use code, which applies to one order. Codes can be used from 28 October 2026, when ordering opens, until 11:59 pm AEDT on 30 November 2026. The voucher is not available on Standard carrier screening, has no cash value, can’t be exchanged or combined with other offers, and is not refunded or reissued if an order is cancelled or refunded. Your test still needs a telehealth consultation and eligibility check before it goes ahead. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
